Three panels from the Lora pitch: the app home screen with a points balance and a map of nearby merchants in Linz, a slide reading Hyper-local customer outreach, and a coupon screen with a QR code next to a slide about brand voice.
From our pitch: the wallet with nearby merchants in Linz, and a generated coupon ready to scan.

The brief

Small shops in a city have offers to make and no good way to reach the right person at the right moment. Our team of four built Lora for Hack-Nation’s Linz hub: a city wallet that shows people offers from nearby merchants, picked for where they are and what is going on around them.

How it works

The app reads context such as the city zone, the weather and the time of day. A model on the phone ranks the offers, so the profile it uses never has to leave the device. Merchants get admin tools, including control over how the generated offer text is worded, so it keeps their own voice.

React Native with Expo on the phone, an Express API on Prisma and PostgreSQL behind it, set up to deploy on DigitalOcean. We tested it around Linz.

Result

Second place at the Linz hub.
